When Robert Rauschenberg passed away at Captiva Island in Florida in 2008, much of the contents of his home and studio was shipped north to New York to be catalogued and organized by the foundation created in his name. Keepsakes picked up on his travels, correspondence, and studio ephemera all sit together as an idiosyncratic portrait and a reference for scholars and authenticators.
